besides vsld are all 4th gen 5spd trans the same.. does a vsld swap require axel..
Subscribewell i will check out my trans on sunday. i am gonna check the detent assembly per D. Martin and see how that goes if not i'll end up throwing in a junk yard tranny and a napa lifetime clutch. i know that sounds bad but the funds just aren't there for a vsld swap. and a act clutch. if for some reason i can sell my new mtx system than i may go that route but for now i am thinking of keeping it stock. if i do a vsld change over does anyone know if you need to change the axels for a this swap. thanks for your help guys..louis
The part numbers in my 98 and 2000 shop manuals for 5spds are the same, so I would say that the units must be the same.
For the VLSD you must get the passanger side axel and axel seal.
For the VLSD you must get the passanger side axel and axel seal.
