You will be under 16s with a 5 speed unless you drive like my stepmom. My 5 speed ran 14.949 on its first run, got it down to a 14.87 later in the day. The engine and tires were stock.

a pair of 16.1 runs...and a 16.2 and 16.4 respectively...a lot to be said for consistency

Last August, my first night at the track in my Maxima netted me numerous 15.6s@90-91mph. My mods were a 17s, y-pipe, intake, and muffler. I thought I was a good driver like most guys. I was wrong. I added a B-pipe, got rid of the heavy 17s, and most importantly, improved my driving (strong launch, learned the right shift points). I ran 14.7s@94mph in March and April with no other additon mods. I plan on hitting 14.5s this fall with the addition of the UDP.

i haven't tried a 1/4 run, but the very first time i attempted a 0-60, i got 9s. after the try, i realized that i forgot to turn off the A/C and radio.

Hehe...forgot to put my time...17.4 at 6000 feet with stock car...damn altitude kills the max.

My first few runs were 16.3's. I took all of the crap out of my trunk (Spare and tools) and got a 16.1. The track was a slight uphill also. I have a stock auto GXE with no engine performance mods.

15.3 @ 92 for my first run. Getting a good launch makes it possible to get in the 14's. If you can get a 60' time of less than 2.3, you'll have a good chance of running below 15.0. Weather conditions also have an effect on times.
Other hints:
-1/4 tank of gas
-clean out your trunk
-inflate front tires to around 22 psi

Have fun!

i had three runs the first time (only time) i went to the track in my max. I was bone stock. my best was 15.9 @ 87.. i guess thats pretty average for a stock 96 SE, five speed.

I need to get my *** back out there one of these days and have a few more runs. heh.

it happens all the time... but its mostly due to the weather and not the mods... ask ejj about his UDP :-)
