I just clay'd my entire car and man what a difference! Mines white and i could see all the little specks of crap in my paint. Even a good waxing couldnt do anything. Anyway i was reading in the griots garage catalog about clay and so i thought i'd try it. It took all the crap out, and the car feels smooth as glass, and looks great. I was really suprised how well this worked.

You better put a good coat of wax on it now! I used to work at a professional detailing shop, and we used clay alot for overspray. The clay strips everything off the clear coat, including wax. So, if oyu want to protect the finish and keep it looking clean, put a coat of good wax on it. also, clayying the car leaves light scratches, but since your car is white, you can't see them. Use Meguiar's three step or something else that removes light scratches and then wax it. Trust me, it'll look even better after you wax it!

Meguiar's clay saved my car

We had some painters spray paint an apartment complex near my work and the paint descended on all of our cars. Body shops wanted to wet-sand and do all sort of ungodly things to our cars with the insurance money until I happened to read in MotorTrend about detailing clay. I turned everyone on here to the product and it worked great. Plus, many of us got to pocket the insurance money for doing the work ourselves. Just use plenty of the lubricant. That's the key. I agree, put plenty of wax after you are done.

Some advise using clay a few times a year but I would only use it for drastic situations like paint overspray. Wax contains some solvents that are normally good enough to remove the tough stuff that washing alone won't get rid of.

GOod luck
