Can I replace stock A/C control?

Can I replace stock A/C control?
I'm thinking about replacing the stock A/C control unit with an automatic climate control unit from a junked car. Can that be done with no rewiring? Is it just a simple switch of control units? Has anyone done this before?

I am sure it can be done but its not easy. There are many sensors involved in the auto system and it would be a real pain to install all those and wire them. But if you have enough $$ and time go for it, I think you would be the first.

Well, sounds like a much bigger pain in the *** than it's worth, then. I was just wondering if it could be done with ease, but apparently not. So, I'll let someone else be the first to do it.
