Car Issues! Part 2

Ok here are the rest of my problems:

1.) Since 30K mile service, I push on the gas, shifts from 1st to 2nd. right after that shift, my foot is still holding down steady, yet right after that shift, the car seems to lag and not accelerate...seems to hesitate. Is this my fuel filter?? I looked at it, and it doesnt seem that old, but doesnt seem like its THAT new? Car has basically 33K miles on it. I would change this again just to try to alleviate the problem...read some previous posts on this and will at least try to change it out.

2.) My brakes are squeaking LIKE CRAZY. If i pull out from my driveway, they squeak WHILE i drive, and squeaking stops when i brake. They'll squeak at all speeds, even 60 mph (i can hear the squeak noises reflect from neighboring cars on the highway). Paid the dealer an hour for labor and they told me nothing about the problem. The squeaking doesnt go away after a long drive...just keeps occuring. No pulsations or other signs of warpage. Brakes are original on the car, been there for 4 years and 33K miles. would a removal, resurface and reinstall (with anti-squeak goop) help, and how much would this usually run? Thanks in advance!

So the brakes are squeaking even if you are not stepping on them?? That is usually the sound of the brake wear indicators. But let's assume your brake pads are fine, since your dealer said so (hehehe...that was pretty funny).

Possible noises for squeaks could be a loose brake pad (shim may be have bent or broken off), squeaking suspension, or an exhaust problem mounting problem.

A few months ago, I would hear this "chirp chirp" sound whenever I went over bumps or took corners. Took apart the suspension...nothing wrong. Lubricated everything, didn't fix it. Finally I took the car to a front end shop, and after a two minute test drive they diagnosed it as a "bent intermediate exhaust pipe." 45 minutes of labor later, they fixed the pipe and the squeaking was gone.

hmm, thanks for relaying the other possibilities. When your car was making the chirp noises, was it doing so from pretty much both sides?

I do notice that for VERY slight moments, the squeaking is gone, but then I hit a bump and it comes back. Strange...must be a loose or busted shim like you said...but it seems to be happening on multiple brakes, adn this problem arose pretty much suddenly.
