Disconnected Battery, now CD Changer won't Work!!??

Anyone have any idea why this would be the case? The rest of the stereo works fine- the in-dash cd player, and the radio are fine. What could the problem be? It was working just fine before I disconnected the battery, then when I reconnected the (-) cable, it just doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas???

Fuses

Are there any fuses on the changer or on its power wire?

The strange thing is I can hear the cd changer trying to play the cd's, so I know
there's power to it, and I can also hear the changer change cd's too....so this one
totally baffles me
