Accident, HELP!

Hi guys,

Last friday i got an accident, someone from opposite site make a left turn.

unfortunately no witness and the police didn't issue any cites therefore insurance doen't want to pay

Fortunately my car looks kinda okay, hood and front bumper need to be replaced and both airbag pop out.

Now the weird thing is my car won't start anymore (after the accident the engine still running, then i turn it off).

Is that has anything to do with ECU? how i reset this?
My suspicion is the engine got cut off because of the airbag.

BTW: all acessories light running, and stereo also running, therefore battery is fine.

Any advice will be helpful.

thanks,
Yunior

Not sure, but could it be fuel shut-off switch, since airbags went. Not sure if we have on on our Max's, but my '93 Sentra had it. Check the owner's manual.

i don't think the fuel only because when you turn the key it won't crank at all.

that's BS man! i'd be on the phone with my insurance guy immediately if i were you. you (and the rest of us) pay good money for insurance and companies look for every chance to NOT pay up. at worst, you should be able to put a claim in under comprehensive and pay your deductible. don't let them get away with that.

thats why you pay insurance, so they help you out when something like this happens. Dont take no, and if they say no. Sue them.

That sux, insurance company just won't care since you have liability. I say, get a cheap a** camera for $5, and keep it in your glove box, ready to snap. You ever get hit, start taking snaps, hopefully you'll have a license plate #.

If the guy says he never was there, you've got pics!

btw, i think my Max is a deer magnet, total of 4 in the past 2 weeks crossed my car! I got to rename my fog lamps to deer lamps

I'm 22, male, single, no tickets, pay $650 for 6 months full coverage on my Max (liability on my Escort) and think it's worth every penny for times like this.
