eibachs

hey i b een gettin ready to lower the max, and have been tryin to go low with keeping the stock ride, but it occured to me tonite wheni was drivin home, i would actually rather have a tighter ride, its an SE so its nice, but i think i want tighter, i was tryin to stay away from eibach, but they are cheap, and i just wanna know from people who have them, what, and be honest, is the true ride from them, stiff as a board, or sporty stiff, try to distinguish the difference, i know it sounds dum

fist I will say what people will say , do a search
but Eibachs are not cheap at all. Sprints or intrax are cheap. The thing is how low you want to go? If you are going to put on rims you have to get lowering springs becuase of the wheel gap. H&R have a nice ride , thats comfy. Lowers by 1.5 "
Eibachs have more of a stiffer sport feel.
Also, you will have to get struts too for the whole effect.

so im assuming that the eibachs are rougher, but they help hold the road better than others? i have stock 99se wheels on my 95 and that gap is ****ing me off, but i want to maintain a somewhat stock apearnce with great handling too. thanx

I am happy with my eibachs,

they respond to my driving, faster turns = stiffer eibachs. They are nice, to sum it up. You always think there is better, which there is. My 18's don't help, when I put on the stocks, its alot of fun.

FSTB is key too, and RSB is the icing on the cake.

actually, konis would work best if you want a really tight ride.

the tokicos will get soft on you after a while. i have the the
tokiko/eibach setup and i think its pretty good. not too too stiff
but i definitely feel the trade off(performance over ride quality).

I have the Eibach/Tokico combo. The ride is a lot stiffer, but it's not really that harsh (unless you live in SoCal where they put those damned raised steel plates in the middle of the road). It was a good compromise for me.

my car still doesn't seem low enough. i love the handling. i need AGXs now because my left rear tokico is leaking oil. don't ever buy shocks used like i did! i can't emphasize that enough. you think you're saving money, but you're not! get the best right off the bat so you never have to do it again. also, the ride only seems slightly stiffer than a stock SE when using my setup (nowhere near harsh).

Re: I am happy with my eibachs,

I have had my Eibachs for 2 years now. I have Koni shocks, Cattman fstb, Courtesy rstb, and Addco rear sway bar, and the car handles awesome! If you want the best performing springs get Eibach, if you're just concerned about looks go with Sprint or Intrax.
