I am looking for another project... i am getting antsy saving up my pennies for more expensive things so i was thinking of hitting up some junkyards for some headlights to play with... so does anyone know some headlight assemblies that are at least similar to maximas? ideally i want something that takes two bulbs... i am basically wanting to make something like the M5's headlights. after seeing the photoshops of the m5 lights on a maxima i have been dreaming of this. thanks for any input, no thanks for people that try to deter me from attempting this

Um, if you don't have that much money for mods, how are you thinking about swapping headlights?

M5 headlights ain't gonna be cheap new or used, also you are going to have to MAKE them fit, I think it could get really expensive.

a couple thousand is no problem... the expensive project i am talking about is my M3 that I am putting a V8 from an M5 into. the maxima is just a side project. so if anyone knows some lights that are similar, let me know. i am thinking that i might modify the plastic casing on the headlight to install 2 projector headlights. i have access to some plastic molding shops so it might not be impossible. thanks

Any kind of headlight conversion is going to be pretty expensive.

if money is not a problem, why not just buy an M5 instead of putting its heart into an M3? or go to Motorex in Cali and pick up an R34 GTR instead of modding the max?

yeah, maybe i will just sell the max so i can get a body kit for my M3 with a V8 and then have money left over for my paint job on my new RS4 (i dont like the red, i am thinking i want pink).... insert sarcasm here. I was just simply wondering about headlights, you can find some neat things in junkyard so i was just looking for a similar fit if there was one. i might try to play with the plastic and see if i can get two projector headlight assemblies to fit into the plastic somehow... i just like tinkering. well thanks for the dissuasion...

Toyota Chaser (100 series) would be interesting. Not bolt-in but a very similiar shape and would be a decent project. An importer shouldn't have much trouble finding a set if your serious.

I absolutely love the new 5 series headlights. I often dream of having enough money to get those grafted onto the Max. Yet again, the money falls short. Oh well. I'll just keep dreaming!

Good luck on your search though!
