Debadging problems
I just took off all of my emblems which was definently pretty easy but it left pretty much all of the adhesive glue on my trunk and even took off a lil paint in some areas -.-. I will just use touch up paint for that but my problem is how do I take off all of that adhesive glue that remains there? I have goo gone but that doesnt seem to do anything to the huge adhesive glue.

Sure didn't I tried it real quick because it was already getting dark so I just messed with it a lil before it got too dark to do anything, I was thinking of the hairdryer, going to try that out tomorrow. Thanks for the tips guys. Oh and I was thinking of the blade too but too scared to mess up the paint heh.

Did you have a bunch of dirt and crap surrounding the emblem? if so how did you get that off? Im curious because i want to do it, but theres all this gunk in between the small parts of the emblem that wont come off.

I have the same problem. Any help would be great. I have tried claybar and paint cleaner. It is not sticky stuff its just dirt that is very hard to get rid of.

someone needs to make a write up on debadging because everyone asks how to get this stuff off.
use a heat gun or blow drier and get the badge off, clean it with goo gone or goo off or whatever cleaner is equivelent. use " RUBBING COMPOUND" by turtle wax or other compounding waxes to get rid of the outline. usually involves little or no elbow grease. i worked at a car dealership and got bored one day and debadged my car in 2 minutes with a heat gun and compound wax.

Just did mine tonight, the glue was giving me issues. I ended up using laquer thinner, a hair dryer (Not at the same time!!!) and then turtlewax rubbing compound, it turned out well I think.
Red/Clears are on their way from Cali, my rear end should look pretty good in a week or so

Okay...people...this is what I did and it worked without issue. I did it on a HOT July day.
I took my sister hair drier...heated up the metal where the Nissan emblem was (I only took the burger off). I tend to a piece of fishing line..and carefully pulled it through the emblem. At this point the emblem is off. I then AGAIN heated the glue with the heat gun and used GOO GONE and SIMPLE GREEN (use very little, that stuff will probably eat your paint) and quickly washed it off...and then repeated. Here is the end result:

You can use some tooth floss to take the badge off if you don't have a heat gun. Then use some paint thinner or 3m adhesive remover to take off the left over glue on the body. Then I used some 3m hand glase to buff out the trunk.
