Well you have to be more specific about the lag, and what type of mods , but I would say check for codes. Also a possibility that your clutch might be going.

fuel filter? dirty throttle body??
is it throwing the knock sensor code (it doesnt trigger the cel) if it's the knock sensor it will retard the timing...

oh and on the clutch note, is there a really good thread about changing the clutch - i'll be doing it next weekend and might as well document the whole thing and make a really good how to... if there isn't one... looking at my haynes manual has got me wondering a couple things.

you see, when you have basic bolt-ons a 6 puck is absolutely necessary...

Morpheus, you got it all wrong, when u have basic bolt ons you need a 3 puck. Or even better yet a no slip clutch, that way when you miss time the person in front of you at the red light, you go straight into his backseat before he's started rolling.

Hey guys..., I think we are getting a little off topic...

but I can't help but say (being a 6 puck driver with almost no mods) that anything that makes you happier driving you should go and do regardless what others think... I put the ACT HDG6 in my 99' and I love the feel... may not love the cost of a new tranny... but not a big concern.

some people like performance, some like style, and some are just weird.
