HID conversion

does anyone know if hid's are save? i mean my friend wants me to get the 8000k with him . arent they gona melt somthing inside the stock headlight ? and if i get them whats a good place to install the ballasts?

No they will not melt anything unless the bulb is touching that metal in that it goes into in the headlight...My balast is somewhere in between the battery and the fender and on the passenger side-i took out the fuse box and kinda just shoved it in there.

HID's are prolly the best investments ever

jesus christ... get some projectors, that is all i will say

that and HIDs produce less heat than halogens

Audi A-6 projectors on the classifieds .... where I got mine and a hellagood deal too~!~

You will get horendous glare if you don't use projectors and how do you plan to seat the HID bulb? The tabs are different than the stock 9004 bulbs. The stock HL housing works fine, you're not gonna "melt" anything ... at least I have never heard of anyone having that issue.

i'm a student too, i got some TL bixenon projectors (arguably the best bixenons out there), made my own harness, etc, total cost maybe $800. kits actually DECREASE your visibility since you need to aim your lights down so they're not directly in people's eyes. get projos and your output will be pwn.

anythgi between 4300-6000 is the best for cars.... anything more u get the ricey look with less output.
