Sticky Shifter

ok so this is the problem thats bugging the hell out of me. At a stop light i am in
neutral i put it in first... doesnt want to go in first so i let off the clutch and push it back in still takes some effort to get it in gear... does that with reverse also. It does not do it all the time but it does it sometimes. At first when this started i took it to my buddies shop and asked him if it needed gear oil, at this time it went it to first ok but fourth was not wanting to go in and the gears grind when shifting into second. Ok so then he tells me it needs gear oil so he adds a quart. I drove it home it shifted like butter. Then the next couple of days it did the same thing exept it got worse. Did he put in the right gear oil??
Did i mess up my tranny?? o and it leaks gear oil but very little have to get that fixed...no money tho... I have clutched dumped it a couple maybe more then a couple into first gear but would that be it? I drive hard but sometimes not always... this problem is really frustrating...

This sounds like clutch problems. Try changing the slave cylinder and maybe also the flex hose.

How clutch it was changed 6 months ago... also it does not grind now before it was like bone dry in the transmission which caused it to do that.

I meant the clutch hydraulics, not the actual clutch disc. Hopefully if that's the case the clutch itself isn't too burnt up.
