Custom center console DIY How To

Here they fiberglass in a center channel, relocating the HVAC controls, hazard button and rear defroster button. Pretty trick setup and it's always nice to see a 4th gen in a magazine!

Thats pretty cool but I think the center channel speaker kind of clashes with the styling of the rest of the interior.

FUGLY. I much prefer my single DIN Alpine center channel below my IVA -W200 in the spot where the pop-out drawer was. Very clean and no modding required.

+1 for FUGLY

It ruins the whole interior. The defogger and emergency flash buttons will be hard to reach/operate.

It's a Max, not a
batman ride. I want my ash tray and 12V socket back!!!

I think its a cool "idea"...but should just stay an idea. LMAO.
Props for being able to do that kind of work and making it sound so easy in a write up.
Good find on the article, though!

Damn thats ugly. It looked like it was going to be cool from the first few pics when they were starting out, but the end result looks awful.

Good Idea, bad way of carrying it out. That looks miserable, however I could see that as making the interior look great and origninal if you do something that actually FITS with the rest of the interior.

Till I see that picture I give this the thumbs down.

I like the concept.. I don't like that little flange trim they did around the speaker tho. Props for creativity.

I think instead of putting that center channell. id mount 3 gauges there, or mount my SAFC2. Much better and more flowing then a big speaker in the middle of the dash. Doenst flow with the rest of the interior. nice creativity though!!
