What do you mean they "look like they're goitting too much gas"? Are they wet with fuel, or are they fouled already?

And they probably have fuel on them because you have no spark...

I think you have the dreaded bad ground to the starter after a tranny drop.

Look below....

Install seperate ground between transmission bolt, and on the block. Do not do what i did and tryed ground other places. It will not work. Just take time, ground to a mounting bolt on transmission to block. I have told my friends locally to sand block matting surface and transmission mounting surface.

Its not your starter....

Transmission doesnt matter for the starter they all fit the same 95-01.

Possibly...On the starter, only use one of the mounting bolts on the starter that hold it to the tranny.

Assuming you have no codes I still think it's the ground issue, even on my car grounding wires didn't help 100%, only when I wirewheeled all four starter and bellhousing surfaces did I get perfect starts.

I can't thank Crazy enough, when I had the hard starts my muffler filled up with so much raw fuel that it violently exploded on the highway. The problem has stumped me and countless others.
