I have a 98 GLE and I dunno why, but sometimes (most of the time) when i park my car, take out the key, and open the door, the car starts beeping (not the horn, the little beeping thing to let u kno ur lights are on and stuff..) I guess that's the cars way of telling me that something is wrong, and when it does it, i cant lock the doors. if i hit the button to lock them it just unlocks right after, using either the key fob or the buttons on the door. to get it to go off i usually start the car back up, slide the shifter all the way down and back into park and it's fine. Anyone kno why it does this?
