Where to hide spare keys under Maxima
I've been locked out more than once, and no Onstar is not an option.
I can use a magnetic box or as my mechanic mentioned mount it using a wire.
Where's a good spot?

behind the plug for where the wire from your cat o2 sensor goes into the car. either that or behind the plug for your oil pan. or in one of the hoses coming off the radiator. or you could hide keys in all those places and make like a puzzle where one key leads to the lock for the next key. i think that is safest.....
sorry, bored and i think this is pointless

Probably just keep one in your pocket? Or hide one under the hood, thats where mine was when I got my Max. But I took that out right away. Spare Keys can cause mischief you don't want happening. I suggest the ole' tie your key to your sleeve trick. Like mittens! :P

I keep mine for safekeeping jammed into the back of the front driver's side tire's sidewall. it's perfect. you can't see it when the car is parked and if someone found it and wanted to use it, the tire would instantly go flat thusly defeating the nefarious thievery.

My girlfriend would keep a spare key in one of those magnet holders and put it on the inside of her wheel well. Stayed put and worked out for her a few times. But then again it's a Saturn and who would even think twice about stealing one of those, let alone looking in the wheel well for a key.
Just a thought.

It was attached to the hood hinge, same with mine...haha. But you could get it from the opening near the window if you knew it was there. Thats why I took it out. I was paranoid.

You could try to tape it down behind the bumper light that is closest to the fender. Then you could take a penny or any other change in your pocket to pop the light off, and there is the key nice and taped down. Just a thought

Bad ash trick of the day............
if you leave a spare FOB with someone else, you can call them when you get locked out of your car, hold your cell phone up against the door while the person with the fob holds it close to there phone and presses the unlock button.

this is one of the more amusing threads i have seen in a while but here is my 02 cents... on my moms old station wagon my dad put a spare under the license plate. he put the screw thru the license plate, then put the screw thru the spare key (the plastic part obv) behind the plate and then screwed it in. no one could notice it and all u neeed was a screwdriver to undo it and get it out. saved my butt once
