5 spd rebuild kit ??? any good?!?
Hey all ... been a while comin, but the time has come! lol I need to do my 5spd and found this kit ... considerably cheaper than Ebay ... but is it any good? I really just hear the IPS bearing, diffs seem ok and shifts are smooth. Here is a link ... if I can get some feedback please! Also ... this kit is for 92 - 96 but IIRC, so is the one on ebay. Cheers!

That will work if you have an open diff.
I guarantee you that when you open it up at least the diff bearings will need replaced. Buy all the bearings, replace all the bearings. No point being lazy.

Thanks Dave ... I planned to do them all while I am in there ... as you said, no point otherwise. The Ebay one comes with syncro rings ... but I don't think I need them and this kit is much cheaper. I don't have a vlsd (that I know of!) .... at least in slippery situations, I get wheel spin from one or ther other ... so. hea! ....
