Where can I buy a transmission???

I was wondering if any of you knew where I could buy a rebuilt, remanufactured, or just a used 5-speed transmission for my 1995 maxima pretty cheap...cause my syncro for second is like gone...and if I take it apart myself and pay a mechanic to replace the stuff it will cost about $700 bucks...so I was thinking if I can find one with low miles, remanufactured, or rebuilt transmission that it might be cheaper. Anyone know were I could buy one or where I could find one for around the same price??? Thanks!!!

NOW he tells me!!! Thanks alot man, this would have been great to know if I hadn't just rebuilt mine 5 weeks ago, after 2 months of searching for a VLSD tranny(just joking) Guess its time to start tearing the tranny up again so I can get a VLSD next year.

Hmm...

My local junk yards have about 5 of them. However, they all run about $1000! OUCH!

By the way, you will also need to buy an axle assembly for the left side to go along with the vlsd tranny. I just found out the hard way today as my mechanic was putting in the tranny today. You could probably get a reman for a I30t for $250 plus $100 core or canada for $375 new for specified for a maxima with vlsd.
