Question about Indiglo's and SE/GLE/GXE?

What's up Everyone? I'm not a current Maxima owner, but I plan to be one fairly soon. I currently have a 1996 Toyota Corolla (yeah laugh, and laugh hard, with it's SUPERCHARGED 1.8L 105hp Engine, I think i might be able to smoke a Geo Metro if I try really hard), I want a car with more power, and more room, and actually has some available MODS, and I still want to be diff from everyone else, so I don't want an Accord, or a Civic, or the usual stuff you see on the streets and everywhere, so that's why I'm gonna be choosing a Max.

Now to my question. I really like the new Reverse Indiglo Gauges, my friend has it on his Accord 99 V6 Coupe, and it looks SWEET. I see that all of the auctions on eBay and everywhere else, only says "SE", I don't know much about Maxima's, but what could really make that much of a difference? I mean is it something simple that can just be modified, like putting a hole in a diff place, or something along those lines?

Anyone with experience in this please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated. I also saw some of the Maxima's on here and they are SWEET. Props to everyone.

-Ray

What year Maxima? The 1998s and newer have a different dashboard than the ealrier models, but the only difference between a GLE/GXE dash and a SE dash is the the backing where the numbers are is white onthe SE's and black on the rest.

Thanks for replying Medic. Well I really don't have a set year I'm looking for in the Maxima's, just 4th Gen. I really just wanna find out if I HAVE TO to be looking for an SE if I plan to purchase Reverse Indiglos. Some auctions on eBay don't say SE, and some do.

Don't laugh. My wife has a 96 Corolla. It's a nice car, and surprisingly quick off the line. They're reliable as all hell too. It's no Maxima in terms of room and power, but I haven't seen too many Maximas average 35MPG city, either.

I agree with you on that, I've had a Corolla since I was 16 (I'm 22 now), I first had a 1991, and now I have a 1996, it's a VERY GOOD car for what it is. But when it comes to more power, more room, more Mods, Maxima just has all of those, and at least it's not an Accord, Civic, Eclipse, like everyone else on the street

Go for a 1995 Nissan Maxima Superblack SE. Lightest max, theirfore fastest max. (STOCK, besides '95 GXE)I recommend automatic transmission, but if you wanna be slower get the 5spd manual.
