Weird Stalling Issue
Weird Stalling Issue
Since I installed my MEVI and then reinstalled my USIM ive had some problems with the car wanting to stall on start-up. I figured it was due to playing with the IACV so when I got the idle correct I just didnt really worry about it: I still have to tap the gas on start-up to keep the RPMs from falling back down to 0 after ignition but after that it sits fine at about 700. Recently however the car keeps wanting to stall while im driving for the first several minutes anytime I put the clutch in to come to a stop and, again, I have to save it from stalling by tapping the gas. Ive done no work on the engine lately.. is it possible that I just need to play with the IACV some more. Oh, and I do have a PF TB if that makes any difference. Thanks guys,
Grant

The gaskets seemed fine during both swaps (only about a month or so period between going back to USIM). I guess I could just keep looking over each of the vacuum lines to check. Since you mentioned the MAF I will say that when I hold the pedal at about 2000 upon start up for a few seconds to prevent stalling the engine sounds very awkward.... almost exactly like the time I forgot to plug in my MAF a few months ago after cleaning the TB.

How were the condition of all the gaskets during the swap?
