Lowering + Mud Flaps

Sorry if this question gets asked alot. But i have a 98 Se Auto and i want to get rid of the 4x4 look yet be able to make it up the curb and stuff. What all would I need to get it lowered and still have a pretty good ride and some money? Also i still have the Mud flaps on and they are ugly... really ugly. Whats the best way to remove these ? does it leave any residue behind?

Thanks

J

why are you trying to make it up curbs? also the best way to take off mud flaps would probly be to undo the screws holding them on. it will be dirty behind them but just wash it. as fas as a drop/comfort/prices, research what different people have. illuminas are good struts and there are many opinions on springs, look around

Looks like a ford explorer/expedition to me. I just lowered my car with illuminas and the tokico springs. They said it would be 1.5 inch drop but it is definently more then that but oh well im not complaining.

I have a '96. I have Tokico Illumina struts, H&R springs, Progress rear sway bar. That's a good basic place to start, in the neighborhood of $800. The drop is moderate and the ride and handling are great. Also replace all your bushings with the Energy Suspension polyurethane ones, makes a world of difference. The mudflaps are only held on by a few screws underneath and are really easy to remove, just take a close look at them and you'll see. Good luck.
