hey guys i just spoke with jwt and they offered me the basic ecu upgrade that cost $595 or adding the "switching module" for the mevi that cost an extra $270. which one do most people go with cuz im thinking just the basic one. please give me ur opinions.

Many have been disappointed with JWT.

No, the JWT program has an extended rev limiter (which is needed for the MEVI) and also has some tweaking done to the AFR and timing.
You do not however need to spend the extra 270.00 to have them adjust the ecu to activate the MEVI, that can be done with a Summit RPM switch.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's *needed* 
But anyways, if you want the rev-limiter, sure, do it up. But if you're just after more power and want some advanced timing than I'd recommend using an AFPR and bumping up your fuel pressure so your car runs rich as hell and than using an AFC to pull fuel away, which alters the maf reading to do so which advances timing. A FPR and AFC is a backdoor way of advancing your timing and I don't think it's that widely known.
You would need some dyno time obviously, but IMHO some dyno time to advance your timing while getting your a/f ratio situated would be so much better of a decision, unless you want revs.

When I ran mine with my G Force ecu it was a world of difference. On an OEM ecu is wasnt even worth it to me.
It really depends on what he wants to do. If he is looking for a plug n play type of deal then JWT. If hes looking to gain the most out of the motor, then the JWT ecu isnt the way to go. The parameters are set and cannot be changed, for the price of the JWT he could get an Emanage Ultimate and adjust everything with that. But that would require dyno tuning time or some data logging with a WB.

When I ran mine with my G Force ecu it was a world of difference. On an OEM ecu is wasnt even worth it to me.
It really depends on what he wants to do. If he is looking for a plug n play type of deal then JWT. If hes looking to gain the most out of the motor, then the JWT ecu isnt the way to go. The parameters are set and cannot be changed, for the price of the JWT he could get an Emanage Blue and adjust everything with that. I just sold my JWT because it just wasnt up to my expectations....The rev limit increase is nice but I want to be able to control stuff.....So that is why I bought an EU....If I could do it again I would go straight for the EU and totally forget the JWT....
