Running lean after complete exhaust upgrade?

I also had a Suby club(full of turbo obsessed freaks) that I am chill with tell me that my ECU needs to be re-mapped but I have no idea where I can go to get it remapped and I had no idea u had to remap an NA car from an exhaust upgrade so it may not be entirely correct sounding...

My chrome underneath is also turning a purple-ish color and that is a sign of being lean as well...

So what can I do about it if I am running so lean? I heard no issues on all the maxima sites about running lean after the same upgrades... The only thing I can think of is my O2 sensors are not running right...

Actually, running lean raises cylinder head temps but reduces exhaust temps, running rich does the exact opposite. But regardless, and yes I'm questioning how you know you're running lean other than purpling exhaust, easiest way to tune a maxima is with an afc, it piggybacks the stock ecu altering the maf voltage so the ecu runs a different timing/fuel map. Another side benefit for the N/A guys is that they can get an adjustable fuel-pressure regulator, bump the fuel pressure up so the car runs rich, than use the afc to take away fuel and get the a/f correct, this will raise your ignition timing, since the more fuel you take away with an afc=less maf voltage=lower airflow map from computer= more timing, or something like that......

Ye i saw this in work earlier but couldnt post, i dont know who says your lean but get a wideband before making crazy comments like that. When you get a new exhaust you dont remap an ecu, thats pointless and unrelated. If infact you are running lean its because you have an exhaust leak big enough to stick a finger in, thats about the only thing exhaust related that can cause leanness. As said before if you plan to tweak, get a wideband and an AFC, but you need both not one or the other.
