I've only used niteshades and have been extremely pleased with the outcome. They can be as dark or light as you want, but remember that the darker it is, the less the light shines through. Niteshades comes off easily with Goof Off and other similar products, as long as you don't use a clearcoat.

If your doing this on your 99 max, I may also suggest the DTM mod: http://www.vqpower.com/v2/readarticle.php?article_id=61
That seems to be a popular option, but it does involve taking the light apart.

I also remember reading something about the pre-cut tints being hard to align and stick on the taillights. But I don't know since I have never used them.

Good luck and hope that helps out.

Well it will drip if you do heavy coats which is not recommended. Do many light coats? I think I did 3 or 4 coats on mine. It's not too dark, I can still see the orange up close.

I was thinking of red-ing out the amber signals, and then doing a light tint on the signals and b/u lights. That way u don't see the amber under the tint. I don't want to go too dark with the tint either95/96 lights BTW. Wish I could do the DTM mod

Dave H. : Your pics on Cardomain.... very helpful. I haven't been able to find any pics of anyone who tinted the top half of their 95/96's. Your SE wheels look sexy in that color BTW.

I think the first one is an older label and the second one is newer.

Those are kind of expensive. Have you checked your local stores yet. It may be that you have to buy those, but I bought my cans for like $12 a year ago.
