Maxima FSM available online

I've made one series of the 4th Gen service manual (FSM) available for free on my web site. There are three PDF files compressed as ZIP files. You can access them by clicking on the following links:

ftp://ftp.dr-rjp.com/pub/FSM0.zip

ftp://ftp.dr-rjp.com/pub/FSM1.zip

ftp://ftp.dr-rjp.com/pub/FSM2.zip

Save the files to your hard drive and unzip them using WinZip or some other zip program.

PM me if you have any problems.

Owners manual and wiring diagram list as '95-'99, even though things vastly change throughout those years, so who knows.

According to the index page, it is for general A32 specs, though...weird.

0 is 1.7MB, 1 is 21MB, and 2 is under a meg, but it's only a wiring diagram PDF.

Everything looks fine to me.

The index page just says 'A32' (see above). I haven't gone through it all too much, but everything seems to be 4th gen generic. I can imagine that would lead to a lot of confusion re wiring diagrams and emissions stuff, but I don't know.

As far as wiring diagrams go it's an absolute must that you refer to the diagram specific to your model year.

FTR, I worked at Nissan as a tech for a while, and in all my little explorations through the manual/parts order room, I never saw any manuals that were chassis code generic/specific. They were all individual model year FSMs/Haynes (they actually stocked a fair amount of Haynes manuals).

At the very least, 4th Gen manuals should be split into 95-96,97-98, & 99 model years. Haynes mentions where there are differences in their manual, but they do leave a lot out and the results can be too generic.

Good luck in following their wiring diragrams: they definitely were not meant for the general owner

Maybe the Electronic PDF versions' diff than my book ver. My book's got a foldout diagrams, and I think they make sense, and I don't have an EE degree. For basic diagnostics, they're helpful.

As of 1pm, EST, the server is still down.

I'll let you know when these links are working.

Here they are again:

ftp://ftp.dr-rjp.com/pub/FSM0.zip

ftp://ftp.dr-rjp.com/pub/FSM1.zip

ftp://ftp.dr-rjp.com/pub/FSM2.zip

Right-click on them and select "Save Target As," then select Save.
