Stillen Sway Bar?

Will a stillen Sway bar really make a big difference, or am I better of buying a cheapy off egay?

I really dont think it makes a difference, I have a cheap ebay one and feels pretty good to me, I just think the stillen one's are just for look and name

Depends on who you ask......some will say the difference is noticeable and well worth it, some will say it's worthless and a waste of money.

Search and come to your own conclusion about the bar.

And just to clarify, you're talking about Stillen's ANTI-sway bar for the rear, correct?

what cheap alternatives are there to Stillen? Addco and Progress aren't cheap either.

I haven't seens sway bars on ebay. I've seen FSTB's and RSTB's. I say just look in the classifieds if you want it for cheaper then new.

I have the stillen rear stabilizer bar and realize the difference instantly. I have had egay stuff on other cars and it has worked well. I also figure though it could be ggod to support the companies that actually research and develope new products for our vehicles.

Just curious because i was planning to get one, what does it do? Is it stopping body roll or just keeping the wheels planted better? All i know is right now my car is way to squermy.

It connects the rear solid beam axle to the underbody. That way there is less body roll in the back and tightens everything up back there. I'm going to try and get one soon, but apparently people say it feels almost completely different (better) in the corners due to it.

I was debating on the same thing.
Stillen is an ADJUSTABLE sway bar which would be good for adjusting at the track. All the other sway bars are non-adjustable.
Does it really matter to the average joe that drives it pretty hard around corners? I don't take my car to autocross so will it really matter if its adjustable or non??

I guess I just answered my own question. Looks like I'll be going with the Cattman one for 150 shipped!!
Really want to pick up the adjustable ones but it retails for like 300 and if it ever pops up on sale in the Classifieds, everyone here jumps on it like fly on S@@@!!

I thought of the exact same thing when I bought my Stillen RSB a year or two ago. As of this day, I haven't even adjusted them once yet. But none the less... I still favorite this mod as my top 3 things to get.

if youre dead set on a RSB get the progress. it can be adjusted by moving the brackets in and out on the beam and front to back on the trailing arms.

I had a progress and I have been much happier without one. it stops lean but it also makes for a jarring ride over uneven pavement.

Jsutter, could you explain how that adjustability works, as in what settings are stiffer. Im ordering the progress on ebay now and im hoping to have an idea as to how to set it when i install it.

I think they are all basically the same unless u need to adjust, the only thing i can see beeing different is possibly the material used for metal and the bushings, and of course the brand name and pri$e
