have trouble w/ loose bumper lights?
i remember there used to be a write up that was probably something similar, but heres my little discovery. i had a pair of damaged ebay tails sitting around and some clear bumper lenses. i noticed the screws for the back of the tail lights were similar size to the post on the lenses. i took the post out of the lense and replced it with the screws from the tails. i also removed the plastic pice from the bumper that the post pops into, allowing me to bolt the outer lense onto the bumper. i remember i had one fall out on me a couple years ago and i lost it on the freeway. could also be a security measure, bumper lenses would be an easy thing to steal if somebody wanted to.
a couple things to keep in mind. both parts were after market and looked to be made by the same manufacturer. there might be some compatability issues so check the width/pitch of the screws before you switch them out.
i have 14 screws left on the tails (enough for 7 sets) so if you guys wanna try it out let me know.
i know, it's a bad picture. the lense now accepts the 10mm like the one on the taillights. the replaced post is also pictured.

I received my new bumper lights, the one's that is crystal clear and has the black trim to match the r34. And on the back there was no tabs to push in, so i tried taking the tabs off the original clears i had, and they wouldnt fit. So i just used a screw from behind the bumper to secure it. It should keep someone from popping it out. CHEAP EBAY SH*T

Mike, i have mine double sided tape too and it's holding up pretty good. I just re-did them cause I bought overlays to change it up a little but Scotch double-sided tape seems to be holding up well.

man i was thinkin about doing that a long time ago. the bumper lights and the upper middle cutout. the problem i had was there isn't a big enough piece of plastic to cut out and section in from another bumper. i was in uti learning how to do plastic repair, and the only way i would do it is with a piece of patch plastic and this 2 part semi-rigid plastic stuff we used. it comes out looking completely factory and is flexible.

Hmm...the only time mine have popped out was when I hit a raccoon. Damn coons!! Haha no but seriously, my cheapo aftermarket clear corners manage to stay in pretty good. Knock on wood...
