So i made a lil boobooo today with pic
I wanted to pull off my old pillars the ones outside my car. The black strip no not the big long one but the lil one i started taking it off then i stopped and i had a feeling i wasnt suppose to take that off. So i just left it alone and used eletrial tape to hold it back in. My question is was i suppose to take it off or just the long two big strips kinda in the middle off the two smaller strips..
Updated heres a pic of the mess
What should I do? Btw my car is a GXE and has chrome trim around the windows

Are you trying to remove the black tape to have body color b-pillars? If so, the easiest way is to remove the black window seal that runs vertically next to them, and then there are little tabs that you can grab and pull the black tape right off. It will leave lots of residue, and you will have to use goo gone or something similar after that. Those pieces clips into the door frame, so just take something flat and push them off of the door frame. I can take pics if you are confused.
Here I have a headliner stuffing tool in between the door frame and the molding:

Start at the top, and push the molding off of the frame. The entire piece is like one big clip:

Then you can see the little tabs. Just pull on those and make sure to have a lot of goo gone. Also, this is taken on my parts car, so all the trim is gone. You do not have to pull all of the window trim, just that little piece that I pictured above to access the little tabs, and one entire side of the black tape.

Also, when I first did this I noticed that the area underneath the Black wasn't as shiny as the rest of the car. Just a simple buff should bring out the shine!
