'broke again' how? Undercharging? Overcharging?

OEM alt?
Aftermarket? (New? / Reman?)
Junkyard?

And of course you checked connections, fuses, made sure the belt had the right tension? Tested the alt and battery?

i've found the ones from autozone are not very good and either don't work when you install it or stop working a short while later. Take it back and buy one from Nissan. While it may be a few bucks more, it'll save you more headaches down the road.

And you know this by getting your charging system tested ?

get the alty tested,
does the car turn on and run with the lights on ?
Are the lights intermittent and randomly come one and come off ?
