BOSE cracks and pops, now completely dead
This problem has pissed me off so much because I'm really not sure what the problem is.
A few months ago my BOSE speakers would crack and pop and sizzle every once in a while even if I had the volume all the way down. Now my HU powers on and everything, but the speakers are completely dead. The audio fuse WAS blown when I checked it, but I replaced it and still no luck..
Anyone know what the deal is? Does it have to do with the amplifiers within the speakers? Will I need to replace all of the speakers?

Ok, so there is definitely a problem with the fuse. I thought I'de double check the fuses again. I figured out that if I replace the BOSE fuse, it immediately blows when I power up the Bose HU. What could this be a sign of?
I think it might be something incredibly stupid I did. I kept hearing a rattling in the right tweeter, so being a dumbass I just snipped the wires to the tweeter and removed it.
Any thoughts?

Thanks for all your quick replies Dave! It seems like I'm just going to have to go down and dirty and replace the capacitors on all the amps. I checked your thread you posted, and does this chart show the neccessary supplies for repairing just one amp? :

So would I get four of each of the ones highlighted in red?
Also, just to make sure it's the amps that are blown, should I disconnect all the bose amps, and if the fuse doesn't blow when the HU powers up, will that be an indicator that the amps are at fault?
