its probably not a hole in the undercarrage.
whats more likely is that its water running off from the bottom of your windshield. some leak in the firewall or console/weather stripping.

dry everything out and pour pitchers of water in specific areas to begin to narrow down the source of the leak.

i had the same problem with my old car's sunroof, i think the water is dripping down your a-pillar so your seats wont usually get wet but it will pool on the floor.

Leaking from roof of passenger side :(

ok excuse my ignorance. I'm not much of a car guy.

but I own a 99 maxima GLE

and there's water leaking from the roof of the passenger side near the door (around the hand grip on the roof)

you can see pictures of the inside here:
http://www.geniv.com/download/waterleak.jpg
the yellow circle u can see water wetting the roof.

I think its the weather stripping. there was never any accident or damage to the car's roof.

how would I go about repairing it? PLEASE explain to me in idiot step by step as I'm an idiot when it comes to cars.

thanks your help is most appreciated.

If that's the case also try blowing out your sunroof drains.
