EGR Delete

I am looking to take all of my EGR valve and piping off.
I know the code will pop up, is there a way to bypass the code via a resistor in the connector?

Do you mean the flow codes or the code for the temp sensor?

Which ever ones it will get by using a block off plate.

Sorry, I am a 3rd gen person, and I usually only deal with the 3rd gen ECU. I know nothing about the 95+

Well I don't know WHY you would want to remove the egr, theres not many logical reasons for it.

As for the fix......... Here's the deal, and I should have tested this a friggin' week ago but it probably won't happen for another weak or so...........

The flow codes are based off of the temp sensor, P1401 is the one you will get. The voltage that the ecu needs to see varies depending on > or < 1500rpm's ( among other things unfortunatly ) My current plan is to use my window switch to activate a seperate circuit (via relay) so that the proper resistor will only be placed inline with the temp sensor circuit > 1500rpm's. I hope this works and will report shortly, though it may be even MORE complicated than that unfortunatly, but it sure as hell isn't as simple as adding a resistor to magically cure the 1401 code, after spending alot of time in the FSM (ok, more like 15 minutes tops) I can tell you that regardless of what others have said in the past a simple resistor is about as as massachusetts obdII emissions testing. Arrgh
