just failed emission with CEL p1008-canister purge volume control valve.Almost a year now that it was defective i didn't change because the carhas no drivability problem.Drives and accelerates fine.

HC gpm 0.85 2.25 pass
CO 7.75 23.74 pass
NOX 4.25 3.25 FAILED
i CHANGE MY Y PIPE( NO PRECAT) AND INSTALLED MAGNAFLOW COVERTER

I have a 95 auto with california emission.I tried driving it for 20 min. to make the engine warm and cat. converter . I don't know how long it was sitting outside at 35 deg . here in RI before it was tested. Does anybody know if those " Guaranteed Pass Emission " bottles help

i know that you will have to keep the car on for at least 10-15 for the cat to get warm..i had the same issue.i didn't pass the first time so .i left the car on for about 12-15 min the guy retested me...then i passed...try that...
