Tan interior with black dash??

I've been searching for an I30 5spd with a black interior. I found one but with a tan interior.

How difficult is just a tan dash to black dash swap? Any pictures of this done (maybe in-between stages of a complete tan to black swap)?

I would probably swap a couple other minor items, but would probably leave the doors tan. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul

yea tan / black is a sweet combo. i originally thought it would look ghetto, but now i think it looks even better than tan/tan

here:

you cant see from here but im gonna make the passenger airbag cover black.
i also plan on swappin the seatbelts to black and possibly the rear view mirror and visors.

thats not black bro. i believe thats called "serene" or "serenity", can't quite remember.

swapping the dash is not terribly difficult. i actually did it by myself ( i definitely recommend a 2nd person).

Well there is another interior color besides black/grey/tan, I don't know if it was offered on any maxima's but it came on a select few bronze I30's, it is called olive drab and it looks like grey until you go to buy an interior peice and find out that it is actually greenish grey, I think they call it 'olive drab' I actually love it.

Some of you guys are nuts with your whole black on black is the coolest thing and I must have it in order for my family sedan to be cool.

I prefer the tan over black on a32's, for several reasons............

The bitty's like it more.

It doesn't look tacky.

It holds up SOOOO much better.

Rockart leave it, the air bag cover in black would stand out and disrupt the flow of colour on the dash, i think the seat belt things also blend in well in tan. i really like that interior you got, i say leave it it looks very sexy

It's not hard if you can remove a dash. It's about a 10 hour job. +1 on KRRZ350, I like the black and tan combo. I've done what I can, and I would love to put in a black dash and be rid of the doo doo brown one.

This sounds very ricey... but does anyone have any experience with using vinyl dye? Also, do you have to mess with the airbag at all when removing the dashboard... any links to swap write-ups?

10 HOUR JOB?????
I yanked a black dash from a junkyard car with the airbags intact in about 31.5 minutes.

If you can swap my dash in 1 hour and 3 min., please come do mine.
I hate the color.

I took the dash out in about an hour or so... Def not a 10hr job. It's pretty logical, the only trick is that there are some safety screws over on the passenger airbag under behind the glove box.

Its really not all that hard, i don't know about an hour and 3 min though, maybe if you have 2 people then i can definently see that time being achieved, by yourself it shouldn't take longer then 3 hours if you keep taking smoke breaks .
