camshaft position sensor leak
I believe it is the camshaft position sensor that is leaking. Here are the pics:

Do I have to replace the entire sensor unit or can I simply take it out and find a new o-ring and hope it seals it?
When I do take it out, is there any chance oil will come out?
Thanks,
David

They only leak while you're driving because its the only time they see pressure. My GF's Maxima has the same problem. Why wouldnt you just buy the correct O-ring from the dealer, or AutoZone?
Unless they don't sell it separate, I can't see why you would use a generic hoping it'd work.

But if you want to get the o-ring from Nissan, you want:
22131-38U00 (for Hitachi make)
22131-38U12 (for Mitsu make)
so apparently there are two makes of Camshaft Position Sensors.
