im very confident it will be a mess. The horrific way the R34 headlights handled the stock bulb and did a terrible job of spreading out and providing like, will be duplicated with an HID. it will bright and shinning right into someones rear view mirror and on their bumper at the same time.

best bet get the R34 and do a retro fit.

Can you please explain I don't know what your talking about. What's a retro fit. Also, I was wondering what is the quality of the 1 pc R34 headlights on Ebay and is it worth getting them.

quality is fine with the headlights but you need to do some modification to make them fit. Just some messed up measurements I guess in the back of the light that makes things hit. Not a big deal and I don't know if many people even had that issue like the first guy to get them.

A retrofit is putting projectors into your headlights. They offer the best light output possible for auto's and is the best idea for these lights because they put out horrible light distribution. Do some research on it.

^^^ retro means, open up the headlights, installing a projector in the lights and re-sealing it... that way, if you use HID's.. it will be crisp with clean lines and no blinding effect..

go to hidplanet.com to learn more..

dang, Cdg2125 beat me to it..

here's some good reading material: http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/

retro fit is where you put projectors in place of the bulbs, i have the r34's and i love them, they are much brighter than stock and i know people say they have a horrible glare but oh well, they light up the road better than any headlights i have had, yes people always flash their lights at me but when i turn mine on bright to show them they are dim, they swerve alittle lol, and they look great!!!

lol everyone explained retro at once lol

The fitment on mine was perfect. Only issue I had was that the brackets were wrong, meaning the one that said (L) was actually the right and visa versa. I believe others have had the same issue with the brackets.

300zx projectors Im sure arent of the greatest quality. I've heard the J30's arent that great either.

Pretty much look at the vehicle that originally had them equipped and see the light output and its cut off, that is what you can expect.
