CAI - will i have to cut?

i have a few questions about this intake...

1. will i have to cut the inside of my fender well?
2. replace filter? what with?

i want the benefits of a cai but i dont have the knowlege or skill to cut any holes. ty.

how easy is this to do. with 0 experience what would you suggest i do?

A hole saw is easy to use...drill a pilot hole, get a 3-inch holesaw bit (im assuming you need a 3-inch hole), and drill it carefully. If you can install a CAI, you can probably drill a hole... If you dont know how to install the CAI, you just need to know how to use hose clamps and understand the logical order that all the parts should follow.

FYI: the black plastic MAF adapter will break eventually. On mine, the flange cracked around the base. It still bolted up, but leaked.

You might think about a billet MAF adapter from cattman. Mine was about 50 shipped.

you are gonna have to move your battery around a bit, cause the hole u are gonna drill will be at the flat surface where the battery sits.

Take your time , its a long process if you want to do it right. Dont panic about drilling and moving stuff around, just remeber how it goes back together. The first time I did it I got all the way to the drilling part then I whimped out and put everything back together. But the next day I said f-that and went though with it. I am glad I did. Good luck bro.
