ok guys, I ordered a strut bar for my 96 maxima. But wen i received it, it said on the box for 89-94 maximas. I wanted to know if they were the same as the 96 strut bar or can fit. I hate to return it back, but also mad that them dudes on ebay got it wrong.

 

I'd think that it would be completely different. Have you taken it out and held it up to the car to see?

Edit: hmm they look the same on ebay though.... but those could be generic pics.

 

no not as yet, planning on doing that tomrrow. Same thing i did, i looked at the other ones on ebay and they look the same but dont know

 

Yeah, unless you have a garage, it would suck to go out and do that this time of night lol.

Maybe it's the same, maybe they mis-labeled the box, maybe they actually f'd up.... which I wouldn't doubt. Especially those places that have most everything automated.

Having to ship it back for the right one would be a pita :/

The VE strut bar is the same, the VG bar will not clear a VQ.

 

wuts the difference between the VE and the VG. I dont know wut kind i have

 

ve has a bent bar to clear the intake. the vg has a straight bar.

 

Since it says for all 3rd gens, I would imagine it would be a VG bar.

there not really the same width, but you can extend the pole to be a lil bit longer. Damn i have to ship back my strut bar then. Since i have the straight bar which will not clear.

koosho, how is your strut bar. IS it flat. My pole is flat but im pretty sure it will kit corretly.

 

Mine has a bend to it but its not installed yet .
