you could easily kill the earlier gen LS400s as well, they are **** heavy cars, 0-60 only like 8.1. I think up to 96 or 97? I forgot when they upgraded the engines. Sticks w/mods probably have a shot with later gen LS400s as well, autos not as good of a chance.

I've seen a video clip of one playing catch-up with an rx-7, you may have seen it too, but yea, that thing looks fast.

GS400's are fast too.. right around 6sec for 0-60 is quite respectable for a huge lux car. two of my friends have them, they drive nice too, I love em

one of my friends has chrome rims (he had factory chrome, now switched to spreewells or whatever (the kind that spin when your not moving.. they are PHAT ! )) so I wonder how much those slow him down... although would those rims slow you down much?

Okay, I think I'm an expert in this subject. Now granted, I've never been lavish enough to have the Davin wheels (the ones that have a middle piece that continue to spin after you stop, they're not called Sprewell's...he just had them on his car during an MTV Pimp show), anyway, they are extremely heavy. Heavier than normal sized 20's. I had 20inch Lexani Krystals and they slowed my car down TREMENDOUSLY! Now, it wasn't a big deal, b/c I wouldn't take it over 30mph anyway just so everyone could see me, haha. But those davins would sow down any car A LOT! You could probably take him in a race b/c of those wheels. Also, if you're intersted in picking up a set of those, you can find them on ebay for about 8 grand (without tires) or at your local wheel shop for 10,000 without tires.

i don't know... but it IS an sc-400 and it is of course a 5spd and we raced one of his friend's sc-300s and beat him by 3 cars to 120 and then we were like 5-6 cars ahead.

I've seen them run 12s easy at the track. I saw an older GS300 run 12s, don't know what he had, but he was hauling a$$.

Soon2BMaxed, i believe you. i just thought that Lexus only made manual transmissions for the Sc300. I dont know too much about Lexus.

JUDE, was the GS300 black? i remember a black GS300 or 400 being twin turbo with a full interior. really nice car!

t-turbo lexus

Too bad there is no engine swap for the Max. Nissan developed 3 or 4 completely different 3.0L V6's during 90's.
There is hardly any *real* power upgrade, except for the over priced stillen s/c.
Nissan owners are left out, and I still refuse to buy Honda.

If the Lexus was a TT, it was more than likely the 300. Remember, the 400's come with a Supercharged V8, I don't know too many people that would buy that car, then remove the Supercharger just to throw in a Turbocharger. If a person was planning on supercharging a car I would assume that they would buy one that doesn't have any forced induction apparatus on it already...Just a though

O, my fault. I thought they did. I've seen quite a few GS400's and 430's in the Boca Raton area that have "SuperCharger" emblems on them, I just assumed they came stock like that. Sorry! Hehe

Max vs Lex

Ok, so it looks like this:
To race a,
SC300 (auto or manual) you need a stock max or better.
SC400 (auto) you need a 5-speed, with some mods.
SC300 with tt-supra motor, you need pressure.

GS400 in stick

There is a gs400 with a stick on my old college campus. I know it is stick. I know it is a gs400. The kid has a lot of money, his dad owns some IT start up company in the city. I dont know where he lives now. Alls I remember was jogging around the track and hearing the sound of a corvette coming down the road...looking up and seeing this sick looking gs400 in silver pulling into the parking lot. I actually saw the car on a few other occaisions but never driving. But I did see under the hood and MY GOD!!! Sickest Lex I hav ever seen...to bad the kid was a total jerk. I thought that this mod was impossible...but I guess when You have money...nothing is impossible.
