hub centric rings?

Im thinking about getting some Enkei RPF1 17x8.5 wheels in the future. Will I need hub centric rings, or will the tightening the lugs in the correct pattern center the wheel? If I need rings, does anyone know what size? Also, they only offer 30 or 40mm offset, what should I get? Sorry if this is a repost...I googled it and found only one result which didn't help much.

You'll be fine w/o hubcentric rings; they just make it easier to install the wheel. Without the hubcentric rings, just recheck the torque on the lugs after 30-40 miles. If you don't have it seated properly initially, it'll loosen the lugs.

Hub size is 66.1mm

+40mm offset is better for the Maxima but if you want to go with a more aggressive stance, you can fit the +30mm. Depending how much you're lowered and what size tires you go with, you may have to roll the fenders but likely you won't need to do this.

like stated above you really do not need them. if you do decide to get a set make sure you remove them before going back to stock rims. i once made this mistake and wobble wobble while driving = no good.

haha, thanks guys. I'll prolly do without...I can always get some if it ends up being a problem.

About the offset though...I'm dropped on Eibachs. I still have a good 3.5 fingers front and rear. I doubt I'll bottom that out since I don't have much travel with these things. I'm thinking I'll go with the 30mm offset, otherwise I won't be able to turn much without the inside of the wheel rubbing the plastics. BTW tire size will be 245/40-17. Agree? Or maybe just go with the 40mm and get spacers if needed?
Watcha think?

For the price I say why not, considering the price of wheel bearings and hubs.

There is a wheel/tiresize/offset calculator in the wheel and tire section. Take measurements with what you have now and plug in +30 and +40.
