Powers all out!

Hey guys, so today was pulling into my driveway and all my dash lights, heat, windows, tail lights, and keyless entry stop working. I had the battery changed the other day, that might be important to know. Anyways, has this happened to anyone? Anyone know whats wrong? Thanks.

UPDATE: I was leaving school today, and it DID NOT START!

Check all your fuses and fusible links.

the car started up no problem. I check the fuses, but none of them were blown.

Well i had the exact same symptoms and it ended up being one of the fuses. check ALL of them, it was one that i never even expected and past the first time i checked but that one was the cause for my keyless to go out, my cabin lights, power doors and stereo. I think its the 2nd from the right all the way to the top. I know its one of the top ones.

I'll keep looking but my first guess would be ignition switch. Also change F13 - 10 AMP fuse.

I have been through this with others, there does not appear to be an obvious reason for this type of problem. My suggestion is to change that F13. How did you check fuse ? Visually?

I've check all the fuses, and all seem to be fine. Is there a way I can test my ignition switch? thanks for your help.

Ignition switch all I can recommend is try moving the key around or tap on the switch if you can find it. I still would suggest you try chaning F12 and F13 just for testing see if anything starts working.

If you are just doing a visual check of fuses that is often not enough. Does the sunroof work? Turn signals?

Check/change Fuse #5 and #66 these are for your tail lights. In order for your tail lights to turn on F5 and F66 have to be good and the light switch for taillights has to be on. Check if you have 12VDC at F5 with the light switch on. The tail light circuit is one of the more simple of these circuits if you get that going maybe it will clear up the rest of the problems.

Taillight 12VDC path is as follows battery + terminal to F66 to light switch to F5 to tailight bulb and to ground. If you are losing 12VDC anywhere between the battery and the tailight bulb it can not turn on. If bulb is not grounded properly it can not turn on. If you do not measure 12VDC from F66 and F5 to ground tail lights can not turn on.

It's just strange when so many circuits fail at once, I look at the wiring diagrams but can not find much that is common to all of these circuits.

i once put my battery in the wrong way and there is a main fuse under the hood. The car would run and turn signals would work but no headlights, tail lights or inside lights, radio. Its in the long fuse box on the right in the engine bay. There is a fuse which popped apart when i put the battery in wrong way, in the middle with no clips to remove it. I just opened the top on that fuse and push the ends back together and it worked perfect again. I could not remove that fuse tho.

yeah, i changed the battery a couple of days ago. Instantly the abs light came on, and the next day NOTHING works in my car, execpt the headlights. I think changing of the battery has something to do with it.

Maybe I missed something, but are your battery cables tight?
