Speed Limiter Removal

Anybody have any problems after cutting this wire? I read the write-up and it says there was no after effect on driving when it was cut. My reason to cut it, is since i'm boosted i dont need anything holdin me back like that lol. My cousin recommended wiring a switch like a on/off switch. Anybody else do that?

I read somewhere there is no rev limiter on 4th gen's, and I've tapped the speedo in my 96. have you hit it before?

According to Nmex... GXE's have a speed limiter. That's all. If you have a GLE or SE, you don't have to worry about anything.

Limiter-related stuff has been covered almost as many times as y-pipes. Search.

dude if you read my post..i did read previous post..i know....but they didnt cover anything related to having a 90mph rev limiter...and i dont necessarily want to go triple digits..i was curious because i might have a problem..i do have an idling problem and im out of ideas...been like it forever tried a lot and didnt work...and when it comes to cars weird circumstances like a problem with a limiter might have to do with my idling problems..something similar to this do happen on rare occassions...

btw the car is 5spd

Oh noes, you can't quite double the speed limit.

Honestly, you shouldn't EVER need to drive any faster, for other people's safety.

I've hit Mach1 before in my 6th gen. Maybe you guys should do the VQ35DE swap, so that you can hit Mach2 since you're lighter and all, you know?

Incorrect. My 97 max gle had a limiter. And for those who wish to do the mod: there are two pink w/ blue line wires that are identical. One is for fuel temp one is speed reading for ecu. The one closest to the center of the ecu coupling is the one you want to clip. It should be in first or 2ND row from top.
