60,000 mile tune up questions?

I just hit the 63,000 mile mark and need a tune up.....The dealer told me that they would charge about 549.00$ for it...Since im broke i figure i do it myself....I did an oil change and need help on what other important things i have to do....Ill probably just have the dealer do the radiant coolant flush...since theres so many complications...and im going to do the transmission flush today, and need advice on what the best trans fluid is and what filter i should use...

Any tranny fluid is fine, and there is no filter to clean in your transmission. The other 60,000 mile srvice is in the sticky above, or readily available in the owners manual.

The transmission filter on Maximas is not a normal maintenance item and does not need to be replaced if regular drain and refills of ATF are performed. I use Redline D4 ATF, but any Dextron III equivalent is acceptable for your car.

Is it true that one of the nuts that hold tranny filter in place goes thru the VB and filter cant be changed without removing VB?

Also, i suggest you remove the pan and clean 2-magnets inside, and the pan, for those with high-mi cars.
