When should the manual tanny fluid be replaced?

my car has 65XXX miles on it and when i look in the resevoir, the tranny fluid looks black and i know for a fact that it has never been replaced. Should i look into doing it anytime soon?

Change it! Wont hurt anything, and its not too expensive.

It should be changed at 60 thousand miles. If you have a 5 speed look into getting redline tranny fluid. It is a little but more but synthetic so it lasts longer and better for your tranny.
