Missing / Rough Idle

Ok, driving home tonight my car (1999 GXE) started missing. When I come to a stop it rough idles (have to put car in neutral with foot on gas to keep it from turning off). Lights are not dimming or anything like that so I don't think its the altenator. Service Engine light has been on since I bought it, but tonight it started blinking. Would do this 10-12 times and stop. I noticed it only did this when it was not in over-drive. Any clues as to what it can be??

What year is your car ?? 99 ??

My first guess would be your Coils. A blinking CEL means multiple misfires

You are correct sir.
Get the code checked to make sure though.Could be other issues that can cause that but the most common is coil packs.

I just talked to my friend from on here, and he suggested the same things.

It's a 99 Max, it must be the coil.

Don't ask me how do I know. I have a 99, too.

It's under the decorative cover at the front of the engine, and it's the middle one.
