Clearance Lights Stopped Working

I was out in my garage just now, been attempting to fix what seems to be a wiring issue with my fog lights involving them not getting power. So I tested at each place in the wiring for a sign of 12 volts, and thought I traced it back to the wiring involved with the re-wiring of my fog lights to be independent, at the relay in the passenger's side relay box. Well it appeared the relay was getting the necessary 12v from the clearance lights, but wasn't passing on the 12v to the fog lights. I figured ok, maybe dead relay. I didn't have one handy, though, and attempted to test it by taking a wire with both ends stripped and sticking it in the "plugs" I thought belonged to the 12v input from the clearance lights and the 12v output to the fog lights. Stupid me. It instantly turned off my clearance lights. I pulled the wire out, they're still turned off. Put the relay back in, still turned off. Cut the wire going from the relay to the clearance light wiring, still turned off. Went to the headlight stalk, clicked it off and back on, STILL turned off. Headlights turn on just fine, but not the clearance lights.

Anyone have any clue what I might have done and how to fix it?

The clearance lights are 12V I'm assuming? I'm no electrician but my best bet would be that when you switched those (at least from what you said), might have burned the bulb? Or the wiring inside it?

I'm a tard, frustration made me not think clearly. It WAS a fuse, the tail light fuse specifically. I also found out my fog light fuse was blown, so that was nice to fix. Now I just need to fix the ground issue they have

On a positive note, got back up this morning and fixed all my wiring. I have fog lights for the first time in about a year. Let's see if they stay lit
