00VI or ECU?
00VI or ECU?
I'm looking to put some more money into my max and was wondering from experience which is should i do first....00VI or an ECU upgrade? I plan on doing both but i don't have the money for both of them right away, so should i get the new intake manifold and then tune it?
if your going to get both then start with the intake manifold, then tune later.
You can benefit from the manifold even without a tune, but once you get the tune you can pull more power then, rather than doing things the opposite way

you will achieve much better top end. Its not as easy as it may seem. you'll need to get the parts 00-01 coil packs or grind down the rear valve cover for the 4th gen coils so sit properly, rigging up the erg port. there are many right ups and many ways to do it. Taking everything apart is probably the most troublesome part of the install. After all is said you'll pick up some good top end from it, combine it with a tune and your good to go!
listen bro just save up enough money so u can do both at the same time just like i told my boy nd now he thanks mee get the get the 00vi port & polish LIM get a V-afc2 to switch on the 00vi at like 4900-5000rpm then get dat JWT ECU upgrade extend dat rev limiter to 7260rpm and u will be STRAIGHT my boy did dis to his 96 and man his **** is sweet i cant extend my rev limiter cuz i got a F***ing 99 unless i get an E-mange

And to the OP, I'm local, so I can give you an even better price than what's in my sig, and I'll take care of you if you need it installed as well.

Not true, JWT knows how to get around the '99 issue. However, I wouldn't give JWT the business when the EU can do what the JWT can do and more for the same price pretty much. And you don't have to sit around twiddling your thumbs waiting for JWT to complete the work and ship it back to you. But, you have to have the knowledge to tune it yourself or pay a shop to do it for you.

not to mention, after all is said and done you won't have a cookie cutter tune.
