My car has a body kit. It's not me and I bought the car with it. I'm gonna have the stock bumpers painted and I'm going to put them on myself.
The body kit is attached to the body panels of the car with rivets. How do I take them out?

 

1/8 inch drill bit. Put some tape about 3/4 inch from the drill bit tip to help guide you and minimize drilling too deep.

Good luck -- hope the stock bumpers hide all the holes.

 

You have to either chisel off the head if you can get to it, or drill it out.

 

I'll be drilling there will be holes left over that are going to be visible. I'll have to fix that after I buy new coil packs.

 

Use an automatic center punch to mark the center of the hole, drill the rivet down just under the head with a drill bit one size smaller than the hole. Then use a drift or pin punch to stick in the hole and pry sideways to break the head off.
