digital climate control bulbs FYI

hey, just an FYi to everyon who has talked about those all elusive bulbs for our digital climate controls. (might be the same on manual climate controls, but i dont know) anyway, i went to RadioShack, and although the didnt have the exact same bulbs, i did find some that worked.

part # 7219
description: Micro Lamp
12V - 60ma
1 package (2 bulbs) - $1.69

these bulbs are a bit smaller, but you can seat them into the OEM brown sockets and then wrap the wires around and cut them to length. then the blue condom cover thingy is too big to hold itself onto the bulb, but you can pull it down further and onto the brown socket piece. it was a bit tight getting them back into the hole because the blue film was over the socket makeing it weider, but it fits...and works just fine.

total cost including tax was less than $5.00

Digitized...thanx for the pic, i was thinking of taking one but i didnt think it would be needed....exact smae as the ones i used obviously, the package mine came in was clear with red, and justr a plastic baggy instead of the nice box yours came in. Glad we can find these bulbs still...some threads made it sound like it was getting hard to find bulbs that would work.

I did this swap today, but it's super bright outside and there's no way I can shade the ACC unit enough to see if it all worked out. Is there any reason why the new bulbs would not work?
